Simon Thatcher

Dr Leith Middleton

Leith practices in the domains of both corporate and counselling psychology. Areas of consulting expertise for business include employment selection processes, training and development, group facilitation, mediation, coaching, organisational research, human factors, workplace reviews, and managing change. Leith has completed a Ph.D. in Organisational Psychology specialising in work-life stress and coping. Leith also provides individual counselling with particular interests in general health and wellbeing, chronic health management, CFS / ME, women’s health, weight management, depression and anxiety, and work related stress. In additional to her professional practice, Leith maintains close affiliations with the University of Queensland. She coordinates and lectures one subject a semester in the Organisational Psychology Masters / Ph.D. program in subjects such as Personnel Psychology, Professional Skills Development, and Group Facilitation. Leith also works as a professional supervisor for trainee psychologists.

Alex De Young

Alex also has extensive experience in clinical assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) intervention for anxiety and mood disorders in adults. She also utilizes Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema-Focused Therapy were needed. Recently, Alex has developed the RAD Kids program which is designed to promote resilient and determined children. Alex is currently completing her clinical psychology PhD at The University of Queensland. Her research is in the area of trauma in young children and she has delivered papers at national and international conferences.

Robyn has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology, carrying out a research project that involved a pilot study and 6 month follow up examining the effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy intervention for patients who have coronary heart disease and co-morbid difficulties with depression, stress, anxiety and anger. Robyn has extensive clinical experience working with children and young people who have histories of abuse, neglect and trauma. Robyn has training in cognitive behavioural treatments for a variety of common psychological disorders and has utilized these treatment skills in a range of community settings with adults, children and adolescents. Robyn specializes in clinical assessments and treatment for anxiety, depression, stress, grief and trauma issues.
